BERKELEY SQUARE
London, UK
Founded in 2007 by fourth-generation Parisian antique dealer Patrick Perrin, PAD London is the only fair in the UK exclusively dedicated to historical and contemporary Design. The week-long event takes place every October on Berkeley Square, in the heart of London’s affluent Mayfair district. PAD London is the sister fair to PAD Paris which was launched in 1998 and takes place every April in the Jardin des Tuileries.
A permanent fixture on the two capital’s vibrant art and design circuits, PAD fairs have become a byword for connoisseurship, exquisite taste and curatorial flair, showcasing the very best in modern and contemporary design and historical design from the world’s leading galleries. With their distinct approach to collecting, PAD fairs epitomize how artistic genres across time and periods interact to reveal astonishing combinations and create the most individual and striking interiors.
PAD fairs cultivate eclecticism, authenticity and connoisseurship with unparalleled passion and flair. Their refined setting is designed to inspire collectors, art consultants, museum curators, interior specialists, design practitioners and the public, making PAD the only event of its kind.
Globos sculpture by Xawery Wolski (set of 100 pieces). Xawery Wolski (Warsaw / Mexico City) anchors the booth with Globos, a constellation of 100 hand-formed spheres suspended mid-air at the centre of the presentation — density staged as accumulation made airborne. Educated in Warsaw, Paris, and Carrara, Wolski has lived between Mexico and Poland since establishing his studio in Mexico City in 1997, working across bronze, terracotta, and ancestral material cultures. His work is held in the collections of the Fonds National d’Art Contemporain, the Bibliothèque Nationale de France, the Moderna Museet, and the Museo Reina Sofía. In 2021, he established the Wolski Foundation on his family estate in Dańków, Poland — a sculpture garden, residency programme, and permanent gallery extending his practice into stewardship.
